NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS
OF THE CARROLL COUNTY
PLANNING COMMISSION

The Carroll County Planning Commission will hold three Public Hearings on Thursday, July 15, 2010, in the Board Meeting Room of the Carroll County Governmental Center, at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as practical.

The purpose of the first Public Hearing will be to hear public comment concern the request by Brian Dixon for a variance pursuant to Carroll County Code Section 113-43 to allow for a reduction to the minimum length of ownership required for a Family Subdivision as required by Carroll County Code Section 113-30. All members of the public are invited to attend and speak at the Public Hearing.

The purpose of the second Public Hearing is to hear public comment concerning the request by Flashover Investments, LLC, pursuant to Carroll County Code Section 113-43
for a variance to allow for an extension of the time limit between approval of the preliminary subdivision plat and presentation of the final subdivision plat as required by Carroll County Code Section 113-18, for New River Oaks Phases II & III. All members of the public are invited to attend and speak at the Public Hearing.

The purpose of the third Public Hearing is to hear public comment concerning the request by Morris International for a variance to the lot size requirement listed in Carroll County Code Section 113-29, for Chestnut Creek Luxury RV Resort. All members of the public are invited to attend and speak at the Public Hearing.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The County of Carroll hereby provides notice that an application for funding has been filed with USDA, Rural Development for funding of a proposed Fire Truck, which consists of a tanker/pumper.

A public hearing on the proposed project will be held on July 12th at 5:30 p.m. Anyone requesting information on this project or to offer comments should attend this meeting, which will be held at the Board of Supervisors room.

COUNTYWIDE MEETING

JULY 8, 2010

CARROLL COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL AUDITORIUM

The Carroll County Board of Supervisors and the Carroll County Planning Commission has been updating the Carroll County Comprehensive Plan. There will be a countywide meeting held July 8, 2010 from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. in the auditorium of Carroll County High School for the purpose of introducing and making available to the citizens the first draft of the Plan for review.
Comments will be accepted at community meetings held later in each district. All members of the public are invited to attend and participate. Members of the Carroll County Board of Supervisors and members of the Carroll County Planning Commission may be in attendance at this meeting and public business will be discussed.
