CARROLL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS CORRECTED NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Carroll County Board of Supervisors will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, September 13, 2010 at 5:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as practical, in the Board Meeting Room of the Carroll County Governmental Center.

The purpose of this Public Hearing is to hear public comments regarding the proposed abandonment of a section of old State Route 672 (New Hope Road), beginning at a point approximately 2330 feet from the end of state maintenance, and extending southward 3130 feet to a point 5460 feet from the end of state maintenance.

All members of the public are invited to attend and to speak at the Public Hearing.

Note: This road was originally advertised as Route 678.

CARROLL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS NOTICE OF CARROLL COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN COMMUNITY MEETINGS

The Carroll County Board of Supervisors and the Carroll County Planning Commission are updating the Carroll County Comprehensive Plan. Community meetings will be held at the place and time listed below to hear citizen comments concerning the first draft of the Plan. Members of the Carroll County Board of Supervisors, members of the Carroll County Planning Commission, and members of the Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee may be in attendance at these meetings and public business matters will be discussed.

August 17, 2010 Gladesboro Elementary gym......... 5:30 – 7:00 p.m.

Public Auction - Horses

Carroll County will be holding a Public Auction of (4) Four Miniature Horses to include (1) Paint Stud Pony, (1) Pregnant Mare Miniature Horse, (2) Gilding Miniature Horses. This auction will be held on Sunday, August 29th 3:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible at the County Fairgrounds located at 564 Farmers Market Drive, Hillsville, Va. 24343 in conjunction with the Carroll County Fair.
