Carroll County Assistant Administrator Nikki Shank will continue serving in her capacity rather than leaving for another employment opportunity. Ms. Shank asked to rescind her resignation and the Board of Supervisors Chairman, Dr. Tom Littrell said, “ We hated the idea of Nikki leaving and are elated that she will continue to serve Carroll County. She has added an incredible value to our operation. The entire Board along with staff are extremely happy that Nikki has made this choice of staying with us. Her problem solving ability and leadership was going to be very difficult to replace.”.

Because Ms. Shank continued to be on the payroll there will be no change with regard to employment, job responsibilities or salary. Dr. Littrell continued to say, “The time that would have been spent on training a new Assistant Administrator can now be spent on continued efforts to grow Carroll County”.

Ms. Shank said, “It was a very difficult decisions to consider leaving Carroll and ultimately I just could not go through with it. My reason for even thinking about a change was to be able to spend more time with my children due to a less demanding schedule. However after reconsidering the commute time, the requirement of taking my children to day care very early in the mornings, it became apparent that I may very well be spending less time with them. The combination of my children along with so many employees in Carroll giving me wonderful support was a complete mind changer”.

The search for a new Assistant Administrator has immediately been halted.
